Are Christians Allowed to be Rich?

This question was asked to Dave Ramsey (radio personality) and he said that Christians were not allowed to be rich. The reason he stated this was because he said that we do not own our money, we are simply stewards of God's money. In other words, we are managers of the money God provides us with. He also made an interesting observation. Christians should strive to manage much of God's money because then the things that the money is invested in is good (i.e. charities, churches, needs) rather than bad (i.e. drugs, alcohol, huge mansions, mega-luxury cars).
