It was too easy
Growing up I never went through anything really tough. I mean, when we moved to Illinois and I was leaving my best friend Jerod behind, I thought that was the end of the world. Then the same thing happened again when I moved to Salina from Illinois. Then I seemed to just coast through things. School went well, I met my perfect girl, sports went well, I found a job and got married. It seemed to all go too easy. I started to think to myself that someday I would have to face a trial, or 2, in order to really grow and see where my faith is at. That has definitely happened. I found a website that allows you to send an email to yourself years down the road. I think I'm going to send myself an email that I will receive 2 years from now. Won't it be interesting to see how the things I'm going through now will effect my life then? How will God work in the midst of all these trials? Right now I can't see the forrest amidst all the trees. I do hope that when I look back I will recognize just how God pruned the trees in my forrest to make it a richer and more lively habitat.
