Just got done with my first session of "Hookin' Up", our middle school dating and sex series. It all went very well considering that there were 15 seventh and eighth grade students all not really sure about how to talk about sex. I guess the most disturbing part of the evening was finding out how many put a lot of clout (sp?) into media for their knowledge of sex and dating. The good thing is that they feel that the church, pastor/youth pastor, and parents have the best understanding of the truth of sex and dating. Now if we can just get the students to apply what they learn. Overall, a good first night and I pray that Sunday night will be just as good with the high school kids. Thanks for the prayers.
By the way, I did get a few snickers when I was describing what happens when 2 people have sex. I guess that's what happens when 7th and 8th grade kids get embarrassed. hehehe

roses are a good way to go. can't go wrong there. sounds like uncle rod got in on the surprise. never a dull moment
