This past Thursday (2 days after I ate the sauce) I was feeling really drained all day. Kind of like I'd been hit by a train. Later that night, MS and I traveled to Lawrence to visit her cousin as a pit stop on the way to a wedding for my buddy in Illinois. Things were fine, we ate some mexican food and then I got to bed around 11:30pm. I didn't sleep well and the next morning woke up feeling a little rough. I popped some pepto bismol tablets hoping that my stomach would settle down. Well, it didn't and by the time we reached KC, it was time. My stomach dropped while we in the ghettoish part of KC, but it didn't matter. It was time. I pulled off the exit and into a McDonald's parking lot to run inside and relieve myself. This was just the beginning. We had to stop 5 times in between KC and Columbia, MO. Normally, this part of the trip takes about 2 hours. It took us 3. MS thought it was hilarious, I on the other hand was not amused. But it does make for a great story. Eventually after taking 4 Immodium AD pills, I was good to go. Thank goodness it didn't hit during the wedding ceremony as I stood up with the wedding party.
Now the question...was this the 2 year old sauce or a bug I caught from my roomate. He was sick the week before with something similar. I didn't actually get sick until 3 days after eating the sauce. Any medical expertise to offer?

i wish this little incident would have happened on our trip to colorado...because that would have been HILARIOUS!!! glad you are feeling better!! ~HoZ
Ok, first I don't think it was funny, because food poisoning can be really serious, however, my medical knowledge says it was probably the "bug" because the sauce should have already passed through by then, and also the fact that you were in close contact with someone who had similar symptoms. Just my 2 cents worth :)

Plan on MS having the same thing soon. Way to go - she's out of sick leave. You'll owe her big time.

Well, it seems like it wouldn't be the sauce cuz it, of course, would have hit sooner. I bet it was either from your roommate or the mexican food. You can't always trust mexican food.
Is this what you call "bathroom humor"? Give me an E. Give me an X. Give me a L. Give me an A. Give me another X. What's that spell? Exlax. What's that mean? Run, run, run............
