I'm in a Pickle

Ok, so I'm a little belated in deciding what I want to do for Lent. Normally I don't give up anything, rather, I DO something that is not in my normal routine. I got to thinking today that I would give up TV and do something more constructive with my time like read Scripture, journal, or something that actually made a difference in my spiritual life. So it was set, MS and I both decided that giving up TV was the way to go. HALT!! What's that? An email has come in reminding me that March Madness takes place during Lent. Thanks Tuffy!

So here's my dilemma. It wasn't like I took a lot of time to pray about this TV thing and I don't feel like God has led to do this through the Holy Spirit. It was just an idea. But seriously, how important is March Madness? Well for me, I've been doing the pick 'em brackets since I was a kid and have always loved that time of the year. So it is kinda important. So what should I do?
  • stick with no tv all through lent
  • do something different
  • pray about it and see where God really is leading
  • don't watch any tv except for march madness

You really can't miss March Madness- or the ESPN coverage that goes with it (they go hand in hand; you can't watch every game).

How about you give up all TV that is not college basketball?

Since this is Lent you should confess your sin for jumping the gun concerning what you were going to "give up". I think a dollar for every game watched with the proceeds going to a needy cause should bring about some absolution of your sin.
