Late Mother's Day

I wanted to post something on Mother's Day for my own mother, but got caught up in some other things and forgot. So here you go mom, an ode to you...

Everything Mom

How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.

How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.

I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

Thank you, son, for your kind words! Your encouragement means alot when I feel so often (daily) that I have "missed the mark" of being who Jesus calls me to be. How I long for the day when there will be "no more death or mourning or crying or pain."
Does anyone else feel like I do?
