Hot Dogs, Water Balloons, and Cut Hands

Last night we had our 2nd annual Back To School Bash for our middle school and high school youth. We went to Indian Rock Park here in Salina. We had over 60 people there (students and their families), which was a pleasant surprise. We started off shooting water balloons with a giant sling shot, which supposedly shoots 0ver 200 yds, but we only got it to shoot around 80. Whatever! Then after we ate is was time for the water balloon fight. It was basically Capture the Flag with water balloons. The middle school had challenged the high school and I have to say, the middle school held their own. High school won 5-2. Then of course at the very end every body had to get wet so students were gathering anything that held water, filled them up, and then proceeded to dump them on others. So we were all soaked by the end of the night. Ended up only hurting one kid. One of our high schoolers fell and cut his hand pretty bad. I imagine he had to get a few stiches. Good times!
