Makin' the Call

Many of you know that I've tried my hand at radio off and on over the past 5-6 years. I started out doing high school football and basketball right out of college when I worked as a sales rep for Sunny 102.5 in Manhattan. This past year I was the color commentator for Bethany College's football program airing on Bob 95.5 as well as the live stream on the internet. This year I will no longer be the color guy for Bethany, however, I have been able to find myself back in the booth of high school football doing the games I really enjoy. Dave Riggert, the sports director for KSAL will take the best game of the week between Salina Central or Salina South. I'll then be the play-by-play guy for the opposite game. I hope that doesn't mean that he takes all the home games. So if you want to stay up with Salina football this fall, make sure you either turn your dial to 1150AM or 93.7FM to hear the newest voice to Salina football. If you hear somebody who sounds professional, you're probably listening to Dave. I'll be on the other station. You can also go HERE and pick up the games on internet.

I have to admit, I hope that I get more Central games than South...being that I am a mustang at heart.

It will be a blast. Now we'll see how objective you can be when calling games for the green and yellow.

there was a stretch during the late 90s that Central's marching band had the best drum major ever!
